Hi everyone!! I hope you’re having a great week. In case you missed it, here is a recap of the UA event from last saturday & the 9/11 memorial tour. Last night I was sent an email with all of the shots from the NYC Under Armour Event from Saturday done by the very talented Kent Miller of Kent Miller Studios! I added over 100 pictures to an album on Facebook so you can see all of them there.
We got the bananas from Jamba Juice in on the action &
this may be one of my favorite pictures from the event!
I had everyone kickin’ butt on some paper plates! I swear there are so many things you can do with these.
Also lovin’ my new Micro Mantis shoes.
Definitely high-fiving the camera in this picture.
Mamacakes rockin’ the microphone during her core session!
Special shout out to my mom it’s been so great to do this together & I feel very blessed to have the same passion.
GROUP PICTURE! You are all awesome.
*Boyfriend points!
Holding his own for sure with great form!

So after the workout – it was time to REFUEL with some food! I was super excited because my friend Katie, who lives in NY, recommended we all meet at Hu’s Kitchen. This place did NOT disappoint – SO good!
I’ve known Kayte for a few years now (she’s one of my sister-in-laws best friends) so we were super excited to spend the day together with our mom’s and the addition of our ladies Caitlin & Julia! Caitlin teaches an awesome 6am class at Equinox in NY. Julia & Kayte both have an awesome & inspiring blog at @Average2Athlete!! Definitely check these ladies out.
We were all ready to EAT & eat we did! Hu’s Kitchen (stands for back to human) is known for whole foods from the earth. I swear it took me at least 20 minutes to decide on what I wanted to order. You can check out their LEGIT menu here.
They specialize in “bowls” (aka powerbowls ) where you can layer a bunch of options. I got a bowl of quinoa with roasted veggies & a fried egg. Side of homemade ketchup & their hu grain free rolls – OMG I couldn’t eaten 75 of these rolls! I also got an iced coffee with coconut milk – per usual.
They have a huge case of prepared foods that were just calling my name…so I got some roasted brussels & primal kale salad.
They also sell amazing crunchy banana chocolate bars (amongst many other items) that is just chocolate, coconut sugar, & dried bananas. There is also an assortment of Healing Home Foods products to choose from. I got nut free granola, raw flax baby kale salad crackers, & raw granola – all of them were delish!
I grabbed a No-Yo coconut milk parfait with apples & mangoes for a snack later on.
& some coconut flour apple muffins to go! These were so moist (sorry if you dislike that word) and they were great the next morning.

After lunch we headed back to the hotel to freshen up before grabbing tickets for a Broadway show! We did the discounted ticket booth so we were up for any available show & I was pumped whenever there were two tickets for Cinderella!
We grabbed dinner right across from the booth at Blue Fin & met the ladies again for some drinks!
The beautiful momma’s!
Caitlin, myself, & Kayte enjoying some wine before dinner.
I ordered the seared ahi tuna that came with broccolini & roasted brussels sprouts that were AMAZING. After the show (which was great by the way), we stopped by Pie Face to grab some dessert while snapping a picture by the Cinderella Sign! I couldn’t help but laugh at the second picture where it looks like the guy behind me is pointing at me ha I think he saw a pie flavor he liked!
Pie Face was located right by the Late Show!
We got a little “tray” to taste – pumpkin pie, cherry pie, & a flourless chocolate! All of them were great with a hot tea. What a great way to end the night!
I just came across this picture & I couldn’t help but share it since it went with the Cinderella theme.
Have you seen Cinderella on Broadway? I really liked how it had a modern twist! For those that have seen it I think you know what I’m talking about. It was really great!
All in all – the day was jam packed full of some great experiences & company! There is nothing like spending the day with my #whatsbeautiful ladies, family, & friends. Thank you UA for making this weekend possible.
Tomorrow I’ll recap yet another awesome spot we hit up for brunch the next day before heading out of the city. Also, don’t forget it’s the last day/night to enter the Vintage Button Photography giveaway if you’re in the PGH area! You can check that out here.
I hope you guys have a great Thursday!
be true to you,
Kasey
