Hi all! Happy Wednesday! So glad you enjoyed the Back, Bicep, & Rowing Power WOD yesterday! Speaking of rowing, last night I made it to CrossFit & we were doing a 1,000m row warm up. While I was rowing, my buddy Ryan was next to me rowing, & he looked over & said “Powercakes, you’ve been making some good looking food lately.” I loved it! People may not realize but those little comments mean a lot to me. Knowing that anyone takes the time to check out my recipes is the best feeling. I looked at him and said, just wait until you see what I have coming! Which is true because I’ve been on a recipe kick lately! So that means MORE coming YOUR way!
Last nights WOD was fueled by Falafels! OH MY GOSH these were so good! I went to lunch with two of my girlfriends & we all sat down and said, “I am craving falafels!” So that’s what happened – lots of falafels consumed. Couldn’t help but think these gave me a bit of an extra push at CrossFit with our workout. After a warm up & kipping practice, we did 5 rounds of 10 pull-ups, 10 one arm kettlebell overhead walking lunges, & 200m run. I finished in 13:53 (I think!) & my hands were definitely feeling it. I always seem to rip right by my palm/thumb area BUT it was a fun workout.
LOVING my new Under Armour Headband that I got at True Runner store when I was visiting my bittie Sarah. They were perfect because 1) I love Under Armour & 2) They STAY PUT. They have a non-slip band that keeps them from moving. I laughed and thought I should’ve taken an “after” pic because we got caught in the rain during our runs & I looked like a straight up wet dog afterwards.

that the boy & I picked up a few weeks ago.
While we enjoyed them fresh,
I started to crave a dessert made with them – aka CHOCOLATE.
