
Who is behind Powercakes?
Kasey is a fitness, health, and clean food enthusiast who is the creator and voice behind the "Powercakes" blog and website.
Kasey is a college Graduate with a Teaching Bachelors Degree in Health and Physical Education & is also a Certified Personal Trainer.
Kasey has a great passion and enthusiasm for fitness, nutrition, cooking, & baking.
Kasey has a passion for teaching the importance of proper nutrition combined with fitness. Her goal is to travel to Universities/Schools to present on this topic, especially to athletes.
Her competition background includes awards in a few Figure/Bikini Competitions: 2nd place in Tall Class Figure competition at her University, 1st Place in Tall Division at a local University Figure competition, & 5th place in a Natural Tall Class Competition. In addition, she made a competitive appearance at Fitness America’s MISS Bikini NY 2011. Kasey recently took 1st place in Miss Bikini Competition Tall Division & Placed 2nd overall!
Kasey's interest and knowledge in clean dietary and food habits comes from her mother, who is a personal trainer and continues to be her inspiration. Kasey enjoys her favorite foods by preparing them in a "clean" manner that is merged with her competitions and everyday lifestyle; She has practiced creativity in the kitchen as a way of overcoming food allergies.
The Powercakes blog has been blessed with an attentive and loyal following, much in part to Kasey's interactivity with her peers and fans, in addition to the unique Powercake recipes. The blog site also lists other popular recipes, fitness exercises, and recommended products.
Kasey and her Powercakes have been featured on multiple website; including Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Blog, BN SHAPE Clothing, Fitness Magazine, and Healthy Page.
Kasey's hard work with incorporating fitness into her student teaching has paid off with being featured on a local news program about "Zumba in Physical Education."
Kasey has presented at a many events including A few Farm To Table local events on "Healthy Eating for Kids", a University Workshop for the Women’s Health Center on "Healthy Eating & Fitness Tips”, “How to incorporate Fitness into the Work Place”, “Fitness & Health Tips” presentation to local high school classes, & also was a speaker at the 2012 Fitness & Health Bloggers Conference in Colorado via FitFluential.
