Good morning everyone! Today I turn the big 2-4! It’s crazy, in a good way, to think how much has changed over the last 24 years of my life. I am truly on a path of finding where I’m meant to be & with each passing year I am thankful for that opportunity. My dad left me a card sitting on the table this morning that read,

“I see a young lady out in the world, following her dreams, doing good, and making a difference. Then I think, Hey that’s my kid. My pride & joy. Happy birthday to a daughter who is so inspiring & loved.” There is no better way to start my birthday today. Thanks papacakes!

After having an awesome breakfast this morning, the boy & I are headed to the gym then out for a birthday lunch! Followed by a night of packing since we’re headed to South Carolina for a vaca week to be with my family! It is truly so needed & I cannot wait to relax & enjoy my time in one of my favorite states.

Today, after finally getting all of the pictures & video together, I wanted to share with you a recap of Amy’s Army Bootcamp that went amazing last week.

Amy, the sister of one of my clients, recently lost her husband, Kent, unexpectedly from a heart attack at age 51, leaving behind Amy and their three children: Breanna, 13; Jake, 11; and Jeremy, 6. This is a very difficult time for a very special family who is rallying around Amy & referring to themselves as “Amy’s Army”. I couldn’t help but think there was some way I could help this family.

I am very blessed to have a sister-in-law who owns a gym so I was able to use the building for the event. The turn out was AMAZING & everyone was so generous with their donations to the children’s education fund! Below is some pictures & video of the whole event. We started off with a group warm-up before the Fitness began.

We split everyone up into 3 groups & then rotated every 25 minutes.

Mamacakes was in charge of the TRX portion of the bootcamp.

All ages were able to use the TRX! How adorable!?

I was in charge of the TRACK POWER CIRCUIT!

The boys worked together on some med ball throws.

One station was Burpee Partner Plank Jumps!

One partner holds a plank while the other partner hops back
& forth 3 times & does a burpee on each side.

Then you switch positions!

Obviously it was a good time

The participants were challenged to do walking lunges to
each station with holding a weight over their head.

We had a bunch of different weights to choose from
& there was also an option not to hold a weight.

Finished the day with some stretching & yoga as a group!

It was such a great night & we were able to raise a wonderful amount of money for the families education fund.

I was so happy to see such hard work & positivity all night.
