hi all!
If you haven’t entered the #beTRUEtoYOU challenge yet –
you have until Monday to do so to be entered for the Under Armour Hoodie!
I know it’s been a while since I shared a work out & I apologize for that!
Lately I haven’t had a bunch of time for workouts so I’ve been doing Tabata style
which is doing work (the exercise) for a certain amount of time,
followed by a few seconds of rest in between!
Today I wanted to share with you a Tabata with a
shoulder focus that I plan on doing later today!
30 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest = 1 round
I will do this for 21 rounds because there are 7 exercises,
therefore I will do each exercise 3 times!
Hope that makes sense!
30/10 Shoulder Power Circuit
1) 2 Tricep Push-ups (elbows in) + 2 ab crunches
(roll over after the 2 push-ups into the crunches and then roll back)
2) Arnold Press (with weights)
not sure? check it here!
3) Squat jump forward + stand up + touch down right toe + stand up + touch left toe
(then squat jump backwards + touch right toe + touch left toe)
4) Lateral Shoulder Raise (with weights)
not sure? check it here!
5) 4 Mountain Climbers + 4 Half Burpees (knees in and out while in plank position)
6) Shoulder Shrugs (with weights)
not sure? check it here!
7) Squat with Lateral Straight leg side kick
(just kicking leg straight out to the side after the squat)
I have an interval timer that I use, but you can also just time yourself on your phone
or download an interval timer app to help with time keeping!
I got a few of these ideas from www.bodyrock.tv – love that site for new moves!
Chances are your veins will be poppin’
& you should probably refuel with a POWERMEAL!
BTW: my veins spell out a cursive letter “k” ?
ironic
One of my recent powermeals:
base of mung bean noodles
(similar to the black bean noodles I used with my vegan pumpkin alfredo)
topped with steamed Brussels, snow peas, roasted red peppers,
avocado chunks (even though I dislike the word “chunks”), & topped with salsa!

Hope you have a great day!
