Hello everyone! How was your week? Today I’ve got some fun fitness challenges for you thanks to my collaboration with my girls Average2Athlete & The Civilian Military Combine!
If you checked out this post [here], Kayte, Julia, & myself put together a training program outline to help get you prepared for the Civilian Military Combine event on May 17th!
This is your opportunity to practice the Pit. We ask that you choose the Pit division (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, or Delta) that you think you’ll be doing race day. See the graphic below for a description of each. You’ll track your reps completed and use that as a benchmark for when you do the Pit again a few weeks later. After the first week, we’ll provide you with variations of the Pit (7 minutes instead of 5, heavier weights, etc.)
The ladies & I have developed some videos for you for each division so you can start practicing for the event! Notice that each division includes different weights – so it’s important to practice with a lighter weight & then work your way up OR if you are comfortable with the movements & weights, feel free to practice at the prescribed weights!
Here are some videos highlighting each division.
Alpha (5 Burpees + 7 Box Jumps + 9 Sit Ups)
for as many reps as possible in 5 minutes.
BRAVO (5 Shoulder To Over Head + 7 Burpee Box Jump + 9 Kettlebell Swing)
for as many reps as possible in 5 minutes.
CHARLIE (5 Shoulder To Over Head + 7 Burpee Over Box Jump + 9 KBS)
for as many reps as possible in 5 minutes.
DELTA (5 Shoulder To Over Head + 7 Burpee Over Box Jump + 9 KBS)
for as many reps as possible in 5 minutes.
I’ll be posting them to Instagram as well so feel free to try them out & share with others to get in on the CMC Training fun! We’d also love to have you join our team to run with us on May 17th – click [here] to sign up!
Have an awesome day guys & be true to you,
xo Kasey
