Today I wanted to have a good ol’ catch up sesh with you guys! Not only is my iPad jam packed with recipes & photos to share – but a lot has been going on behind the scenes over here! With the 11 Days Of Giveaways I’ve now basically got 11 days of new foodie finds, recipes, products, & experiences to share! Are you ready?
This week I did a Chia Jam Demo at a local Juice, Smoothie, & Yoga Studio called Embody Natural Health! I met so many awesome people & had a great time preparing the chia jam for everyone.
I made an Orange Chia Jam:
- 2 Oranges or 3 Cuties
- 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds
- Cinnamon to taste
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 10 Drops of Liquid Stevia OR 1 TB Honey OR no sweetener at all
Fact: It’s like really cold outside.
Fact: I’m not sure why I forgot to wear gloves this day.
Fact: I always seem to choose cold drinks over hot ones – even when it’s below Zero.
Was this chocolate protein, orange, banana, coconut, & ginger smoothie from Embody worth the cold hands? YUP.
Let’s talk about a new fun subscription that you can join into called Birch Box! I received this a little while ago thanks to my friends at Under Armour Women who just partnered with Birch Box!
Not only did I get to sample some great products, but I was super pumped to see the Braided UA Headband making an appearance!

So rewinding a little bit to last weekend, I was hanging out with CoreyCakes since it was his BIRTHDAY! We are now both 24 and he won’t let me forget that I will always be turing a year older than him for…ever.
Luckily I forgive him for his jokes & still like so spoil him a bit for the big day.
He loved them & said that they really did help out with supporting moves like dips…
& some chest press! I’ve also been wearing them too & we are both fans. Super easy to use & great support!
The boy is also rockin’ that #IWILL UA shirt as well which I also came across this bright guy , the UA Tech patterned T-shirt, for a gift…
which is now hanging his in closet…because, yes, he’s a super organizer & hangs all of his clothes. One day I want to be like him ;] For real.
After our workout he refueled with some new APS Pumpkin Spice Grass Fed Whey Protein!
I love to introduce Corey to new options for protein & he really liked it. He likes to add ice to his water then the protein & shake it all up. You can find more about All Pro Science Grass Fed Whey Protein on their site [here].
Later that evening we headed to his Parent’s house for a birthday dinner aka FEAST.
I helped his mom make some Dill & Old Bay Salmon! Just took fresh salmon into a medium heat pan with some oil of choice & garlic. Top with Dill & Old Bay and let cook for a few minutes on each side until desired done-ness.
We also had some roasted veggies & baked red potatoes – talk about a #PowerMeal!
For Dessert? I’d like to introduce you to this child right here, Mr. Corey Brown himself.
Who loves to lick homemade ice-cream off of the machine – haha he kills me. But hey, there really is nothing like homemade ice-cream! His mom made coffee ice-cream & it was amazing.
To go with that – her famous Hot Fudge Cake & Chocolate Chip Cookies. These were not gluten free but I did obviously sample them! So so good.
While we’re on the food topic & to make you a little more hungry…is it lunch time yet? I’ve been loving this combo lately for breakfast.
2 Gluten Free Ancient Grain Waffles topped with roasted kabocha squash, raw honey, & dippy eggs. I totally recommend you trying this.
If you’re more of a sweet breakfast eater, nut butter would make a great topping! My friends at Kolat nut butters sent these awesome samples to try.
We got the Blueberry Cinnamon Walnut Butter & The Dark Chocolate Coconut Butter! Just typing those titles makes me want some again. You can check out their site [here] & see the variety of nut butters they offer. Espresso Hazelnut anyone? Yup, check it out!
Welp, I’m off to get a workout in then pack up for a big day! I’ve got a meeting with a friend from High School & then headed to work with High School Lacrosse team again! Super excited & already have a fun workout planned for them as well as a presentation on lifting weights & how training can help with Athletic Performance. Things I wish I knew more of in high school, even though my personal trainer mother tried to tell me, I was in a different world then! Merp.
