Happy Halloween! Chocolate Covered Pumpkin VEGA Smoothie Bowl [Recipe]

Hey all! How has your week been going? I was battling a head cold earlier this week but now feeling much better. I’ve literally been sick for Halloween for the past 6 years + a few when I was in high school. I’m not sure whatttt is up with my body around Halloween but thank goodness this head cold happened earlier in the week this year. Whew!
If you’re a pinterest lover like myself, I bet your feed is FILLED with adorable, spooky, & so awesome (yet I don’t think I can pull it off) kind of DIY foods & crafts. My friends at VEGA are adding to that this year by having a few of us bloggers share a spooky smoothie.
I snaked on a Vega bar as I crushed up some Savi Seeds & grated some Maca Root chocolate for a garnish.
anddddd may or may not have stolen a bite or two of the bar before grating ;]
I made a layered smoothie that turned into a bowl…since I “eat” every smoothie with a spoon.
Chocolate Covered Pumpkin Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients:
Dark Chocolate Layer:
- 1/2 Scoop Chocolate VEGA Sport Performance Protein
- 1/2 of a Large Frozen Banana
- 1 TB Dark Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 TB Chia Seeds
- 1/2 Cup Milk Of Choice
Pumpkin Layer:
- 1/2 Scoop Chocolate VEGA Sport Performance Protein
- 1/2 of a Large Frozen Banana
- 1/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/2 TB Chia Seeds
- 1/2 Cup Milk Of Choice
Directions for Both Layers (I just made them separately, washing out my Vitamix in between).
- Combine all ingredients for your layer into the blender & blend until thick! (if needed, add a little more liquid to your mix)
- Pour into a bowl in layers or side by side.
- Top with shaved Vega Maca Chocolate & Crushed Savi Seeds for some extra flavor & texture! You won’t regret it.
I’m off to sub a step class, train a few clients, & then enjoy Halloween with the family!
