Let’s kick off with some wedding news! :] Ah, exciting.
I even made a fun little image to include on all Wedding update posts! So, over the weekend I went roadtripping with my mom & sister-in-law, Angie. We went to South Carolina to visit family that we only get to see a few times a year. (I’ll post more about the trip tomorrow!) My Mom’s sister, Kelli, lives there with her husband Kevin & 4 kids, Kelsi, Kolin, Kaylie, & Kyra along with their puppy, Kennedy. Can you tell we are fond of the letter “K” in our family?
They are my first cousins yet I think of them as siblings. I always imagined my wedding day with them a part of it and I can’t believe we’re all old enough now that this is actually happening! I planned to ask my oldest of the 4 cousins, Kelsi, to be a Bridesmaid as well as the two younger girls to be Junior Bridesmaids. Kolin, the 15 year old boy, is going to be an Usher & happily agreed to his duty ;]
Angie helped me come up with a fun way to ask my bridesmaids and I was pumped to ask my cousins first! Each girl will be getting a print out card with the definition of a Bridesmaid with a picture of the two of us asking them the big question.
We were at a local store where I found some adorable burlap prints that I also picked up for the girls! They could easily be hand made.
Kyra, the youngest, was too adorable whenever she blurted out “YES!!” at the end of reading the card. On the definition of a bridesmaid, one of the numbers says, “hold my dress when I pee.” Kyra, who hasn’t been a bridesmaid before, read it, looked at me with a confused look on her face, and said, “ew“.
We all cracked up because she obviously hasn’t had that duty before! By the end of the night she told me she’d be the first on there to help me and my small bladder ;]
My Aunt Kelli & Angie are super creative with gifts and can always be counted on for hosting the best get togethers. My Aunt surprised me with these adorable engagement gifts and I can’t wait to put them in our new place!
The coffee mug is so cute! It actually has chalk board paint on it so you fill in the days until you say, “I do!”
If you saw the above wedding graphic, you may have seen that we decided on 2016 for our wedding. At first I felt like it was so far away, BUT it made sense since I will be moving with Corey come the new year and it would be nice to have some extra time to help plan while I’m away.
Typing updates like this makes me wish the wedding was like, this weekend, but I am so excited to be on this journey with Corey and my family & friends. We are planning a summer wedding for 2016 and I couldn’t be more excited.
I’ll be updating you along the way of each Bridesmaid – woo!
I’m off to get some work done before teaching a class – I hope you have a great Tuesday!
Be true to you,
xo Kasey
