Happy Thursday friends!

Boxing and MMA inspired workouts are currently trending and it’s easy to see how this training that has been around for years is catching people’s attention. It’s not only fun & challenging, but it’s also something different that you are mixing into your normal routine and our bodies love a switch-up!

I’ve partnered up with the credible company Everlast through my friends at FitFluential to bring to you some MMA & Boxing inspired workouts.

My workouts below are utilizing Everlast’s FIT Powercore Bag, Women’s Universal Fit Gloves, & their Cardio Fitness Training Bag.

Upon receiving this equipment I was PUMPED as I looove any kind of MMA & boxing inspired workouts. I was getting ready to film the workout and my friend, who is also a trainer, was playing with the Powercore bag and couldn’t get over how many different exercises you could come up with.

The thing is, you don’t have to be a Professional MMA fighter or Boxer to train like one. These workouts & exercises are easy to incorporate into your fitness routine and you can see some awesome gains in your strength & conditioning.

The equipment involved is minimal and great for at-home fitness, especially cardio/conditioning. The type of training is functional (F.I.T. = Functional Integrated Training) which means you are using your body to perform exercises that you would do in your daily life. One of the main things I notice is the BALANCE involved in these movements which can help carry over to your every day.

This style of training not only is fun but there are truly unlimited combinations of movements, patterns, & timing you could do. The equipment also had just the right amount of padding which allows for safety & low impact on your joints.

Today I’ve put together 8 different combo exercises utilizing the Everlast FIT equipment that incorporate more than one muscle working at a time. This will not only increase your output & allow for a quick workout, but also challenge your body in a whole new way.

I would suggest pairing these movements together into one workout. I recommend 10 reps for each movement (on each side if both sides are involved) and 3 rounds for each workout.

Try putting the movements in order 1-8, completing the reps, & repeating the whole circuit for 3 rounds as a TOTAL BODY strength & conditioning session.

Feel free to follow me (@Powercakes) on Pinterest & PIN these workouts to use in your gym or at home. Also, let’s connect on INSTAGRAM where I’ll be posting some video clips of the workouts below.

I promise they will come in handy when you’re looking for some MMA or Boxing inspiration!
