A Food & Fitness Blog
This sounds like an awesome recipe! I need to try making a power cake ASAP! I cant believe I havent made one before.. that has got to change!!
So going to make these starting tomorrow. What a delish and powerful way to start your day. love the new site!
This sounds like such a great idea! Is there any way to veganize it by removing the egg whites?
Someone used Tofu once or mashed up banana with “Flax Eggs” 1 tb Flax mixed with 3 TB water! I’m trying to come up with a version!!
What about chia seeds and water? Chia absorbs more than nine times its weight in water and turns into a gel
These look so good! Question tho, are these good to eat if im trying to lose weight and tone up? Its only about 5-10 pounds im trying to lose but i still need a good amountof protein in my diet . Also, how many cals do you think is in one of them? Thanks!
i want to know the same thing to emily’s question!!
absolutely!! I eat one every morning and my body loves the nutrients I’m giving it!! They can vary in cals…If you do a basic one with 1/4 ground oats or 2 TB coconut flour, pumpkin, & egg whites – its around 15o cals and then you can add all different flavors and toppings!! You get healthy carbs, fats, and protein all in one- hence the “POWER” in POWERCAKES! ;] I hope you try them out & enjoy!! I eat them for any meal, not only breakfast!! Pair it wish some veggies for lunch ;] or mix in spinach for breakfast! It’s a great way to add more nutrients and ingredients without the extra calories! ;]
Hi ! I’m new to your blog and love your powercakes idea! Been makin protein pancakes for awhile but like your variations and love the powercake name!
Question: how many servings does each recipe make? It seems like it would make more than one cake but you also say you eat one every morning…just confused on servings and the size
