———————————

I will be so honest…I’ve always loved dogs and wanted one since I was a kid, as most kids do, but it wasn’t until I had my own dog that I truly felt the true bond that you can have with each other.

For those that know us personally, know that we adore our rescue pup Kita (even if her face doesn’t show it in this next picture, ha, she really wanted to keep playing!).

She was found on the streets of Mississippi and then fostered by the amazing people at Canine Commitment of New Hampshire. I was doing months of research trying to find our future pup and when I came across her picture on the website, I knew she had to be ours.

The amount of love we have for this girl is unmatched and we’ve got pages and pages of pictures in our camera roll to prove how much we adore everything she does.

Kita knows when we’re sad, happy, anxious, or scared. She is totally in tune with how we’re feeling and we are in tune with how she’s feeling. She is equal parts strong, caring, & loving, yet super sensitive, curious, & independent.

Because of her being a mix (we think) of a Whippet Greyhound + Beagle, she is wicked fast and athletic. I’ve tried racing her and will lose every time.

We’ve always joked that we would CRUSH an agility competition together with our matching long legs & speed, yet she is afraid of every obstacle or tunnel we’ve ever tried to get her through…..treat after treat after treat.

I still have a ton of faith that if properly trained she has so much potential, but for now she will tug, run, chase, & sniff her way through the day.

She’d rather try to get the treats through the side of the tunnel ;]

During this time of staying home more, Corey & I have watched multiple documentaries and are always more likely to pick one when there is an animal involved.

I’m super excited to add to our list & watch the new Amazon Original called The Pack!

This series is Hosted by Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn and her canine co-host Lucy, featuring twelve teams of dogs and their humans on an epic adventure across multiple continents.

The Pack, is a new global series showcasing the unrivaled bond between dogs and their human companions.

IMG_2878

The Pack premiered on November 20th, on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories with a prize value of  a life-changing $750,000 for the winning duo and their charity, $500,000 to the winners plus an additional $250,000 prize amount for the animal charity of their choice (which I love!!).

Additionally, The Pack donated $250,000 during filming to multiple charities and animal rescue organizations in each country, helping to pay it forward to dogs and those who love them around the world.

To win the monetary prize for themselves and their charity, the teams will have to depend on their understanding of one another’s strengths and weaknesses and prove to have the strongest bond in the pack.

The human and dog duos will face fun and exciting challenges, designed in concert with a team of accredited Veterinarians and certified dog experts that also accompany the group on their exciting journey, making sure it is a positive experience for everyone.

They even sent over this goodie box loaded with some of Kita’s favorites & she was pumped.

I am SO excited to cuddle up with the pup & watch this series and I know y’all will love it too!

Excuse me as I go and try to become the next Lindsay Vonn & Lucy with my dog who is currently afraid of tunnels.

Be true to you,
