This is such an important message! It’s often the first thing to go when people want to lose weight, and it’s nice to see someone prove that healthy fats are not making people fat.

I’m a huge fan of natural peanut butter at the moment, but avocado is an essential in salads.

Love it!! I wish more people would embrace fats, they’re SO amazing and so delicious 🙂 I have the same tummy issues with grains and man, fats have been a lifesaver!
My favorite healthy fats– sunflower seed butter, coconut, and whole eggs mmmm

  3. Sooo important! Love my fats! I’ve never understood that weird period of time where America decided to stop eating fats. Was there not one single scientist to tell someone that makes zero sense? My favorites are peanut butter, avocado, whole eggs and olive oil.

  4. SO glad that I watched your video!

I currently experience that same hard, pregnant looking bloat, and I’ve been wondering what it is that causes it. I do notice it is more pronouced after eating grains like oatmeal, Kashi cereals, or even somtimes, rice cakes. Even more so when I eat certain desserts.
My family and I joke all the time about how I look 4 months pregnant, but normal everywhere else. It hurts to suck my belly in, and it can be very uncomfortable. I eat my healthy fats, but I know I should eat more of them. I am going to take your advice and try swtiching to “fat for energy instead of grains”

Thanks so much for the insight!

I totally agree… so many people are afraid of fats but they really are a great source of energy if you get them from the right sources! Right now I am on a major nut kick, especially pistachios and almonds! Good thing they come sold in pre-portioned packages 🙂 Have a great time in Colorado!

  6. When I was young & stupid, I avoided all fats & boy, I learned my lesson! 😉 I always tell people ya have to eat some healthy fat!!!

    Have fun at the #FHBC!!!!!

We are huge fats people! We used to fear them, but about 4 years ago when we got into the raw foods it taught us not to hear fats!! One of our favorite things is mixing coconut oil and cocoa to make a quick fudge, sauce like…so good!

Love this post & vlog, thank you so much!!! It helps hearing others have the same tummy issues & making me not feel crazy 🙂 I had increased my oats & rice recently & my stomach was the exact same as you described…very bloated & felt firm. I cut them out today, and already the swelling has gone down noticeably. I hope it’s not just a fluke or something else & I continue to feeling better. Helps so much to know fats can provide just as much energy as oats or other carbs & there are alternatives like coconut flour & flax meal for even more added fiber & energy. Thank you, thank you!! 🙂

Definitely an important topic. I used to fear fat like crazy! Seriously avoided it at all costs. Now I can’t imagine my day without coconut oil or avocado. It has made such an improvement in my skin overall as well.
    Great vlog lady!
Have you ever had bubble tea? That’s what the chia in water reminds me of! You should try chia iced tea. It is so awesome! I also disagree when people think 0% yogurt is better, no full fat is! Less processed!! And keeps you satisfied like crazy.
