Have you ever heard of Fruit.0? I’ve become of fan of these easy squeeze packets ever since my schedule has really picked up. Sometimes I got from training a client  to teaching a class and I want something simple and easy on the stomach.

So, last night Papacakes made this delicious meal & you can thank my brother, Philip, for this pic! Obviously our family is getting pretty good at this “take a picture of your meal” thing. My dad put together a great hearty meal for us with this KILLER sauce!

We all sat down to dig in & instantly started to rave over this sauce. We asked him what was in it and he said, I grabbed one of those Mango Pear & Pineapple Fruit.0 packets that you had in the pantry & used them in the sauce.

It’s almost like he read my mind that I’d be posting about it today – go Dad!

Being that in our family we mostly just toss a little bit of this & a little bit of that into a meal- I made him try to recall the ingredients he used for his Fruit & Red Wine Balsamic Reduction.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Of Red Wine
  • 1/2 Cup of Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Pouch of Fruit.0 Mango Pear Pineapple
  • 1/4 Cup of Raisins
  • 1/4 Cup of Dried Cherries
  • Minced Garlic (about 1 TB)
  • A few drops of Liquid stevia or 2 TB Honey (or sweetener of choice – helps cut the acid!)

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a medium sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once you get to a boil, turn down the temperature to medium.
  4. Let the sauce cook until it reduces by half.
  5. Meaning, let it cook until it starts to thicken into a nice sauce and is about HALF of the volume from when you originally started.

This sauce would go GREAT on any type of protein, veggies, or you could leave out the garlic and put this over ice cream. DELISH.

My friends at Fruit.0 & Bulu Box are hosting a Giveaway that you RUN to!
