Happy Thursday, friends! Currently back in the burgh with my family for 2 weddings. My brother’s bestfriend got married last Friday and this Friday my best friend Sarah gets married!
[insert hubby into picture – he’ll be here this weekend!]
Do you ever try to squeeze in a ton of things before you know you’re going to be out of town? I’m pretty sure I fit what I would have in a whole week into 3 days last week, including packing the night before.
One thing I was sure to pack for my trip? My new Brooks Revel shoes that I ordered on Zappos a few weeks ago for getting in my workouts at home!
That feeling you get when you wear your new shoes for the first time.
For the last year or so, I’ve known that I needed to get myself a good pair of running shoes. Every time I do a workout that involves a 100m or 200m run, my ankles never feel stable & the shoes I was running in (which weren’t running shoes) made me feel super slow compared to how I normally feel in a shorter sprint.
When my friends at Brooks & Zappos reached out, It truly couldn’t have been a MORE perfect time as I was literally just thinking how badly I needed quality running shoes to improve how I was feeling. Good energy!
Y’all know I’m not the biggest long distance runner BUT I do love my shorter sprints and my clients are also learning to “love” them as well as we are gearing up for an event called the Rugged Maniac the weekend of September 24th.
It’s a 5k obstacle course that my clients and I will be taking on together.
We’ve been switching up our training to include not only our strength exercises but also adding in spurts of running as between each obstacle, we will be running to get to the next.
In collaboration with Brooks & Zappos, I ordered myself 2 pairs of the new Brooks Revel shoes in Diva Pink/Plum Caspia with Black & the Black and Grey so I’d have one color that POPPED and one color that went with anything!
Instantly, out of the box, I put them on and literally jogged across our small living room to test them out.
I LOVE the comfort, color, & support they offered compared to other shoes that I’ve run in. They aren’t too supportive where your foot starts to ache but supportive enough that whenever my feet hit the pavement my ankles feel secure.
I also feel like I have a little bounce to my stride thanks to BioMoGo DNA cushioning that disperses impact away from the body.
I always look for a running shoe that I could also perform other workouts in and these fit the description perfectly. I’ve done all types of moves in these from squats to push ups to plyometrics to running and then rocked them while I coach, train my clients, & ran errands — they truly are SO versatile!
Since my clients and I have been focusing on full body strength & endurance workouts to get ready for September 24th, I put together a sample of one of our workouts for you to try!
After you’re done with this one you definitely want to focus on recovery…and stretching in super cute capris never hurt ;]
Slightly obsessed with these Brooks Greenlight Capris and I am wearing a small for reference. I can usually go with a medium in capris but the smalls fit well and I love the comfy high waist.
I loved seeing how Brooks not only offers A+ shoes but they also offer a variety of women and men’s apparel on Zappos!
Zappos also has awesome customer service as I did have a bit of a sizing issue and also great shipping & return policies. I was able to chat live with an employee and get my sizing issue all taken care of.
Thank you Brooks & Zappos for partnering up on this blog post!
Be true to you,
xo Kasey
This is a sponsored post between myself & Zappos but as always, all opinions are my own! #betruetoyou
