Happy Tuesday, friends!! We are 5 DAYS OUT from our Wedding on July 3rd! I can’t believe it’s so close to being here.
If you follow me on snapchat (@powercakes) you may have seen that we got our marriage license and I had my final fitting last night for my dress. Putting that dress on made it really feel real.
Today I did some pampering things like eye brows & teeth and this week will also include some nails & toes being all dolled-up. It’s really nice to just sit back and take in these moments.
Over the weekend we got to spend some time with Corey’s family which was awesome. We visited his parents & then went up more north in PA to visit his brother & sister-in-law.
Got an awesome workout in (check out instagram for that one!) and has some beach time.
It was also so nice to be outside with the warm weather & GRILL! One of my favorite things about summer.
My friends at Al Fresco sent me their new Sweet & Smoky BBQ Chicken sausage and if you didn’t already know…Corey and I are basically obsessed with chicken sausage. It is a super easy way to prepare an awesome protein source for our dinners — and it’s QUICK!
I always recommend these to my TEAM TRUE TO YOU FITNESS clients as a great source of protein if you’re bored of the same ol’ chicken.
This weekend Corey grilled up some veggies with oil + salt + pepper to have alongside the chicken sausage and some sweet potatoes. I’m not a big spicy fan but this wasn’t really “too” spicy at all – it was more SMOKY for sure — just like the package says.
It had a perfect hint of sweetness that went great with the veggies and potatoes.
It may not have been the first flavor I would grab since I usually go towards spinach and feta or garlic — but now that I’ve tried it we would definitely get it again!
Al Fresco is hosting a Summer Grilling Sweepstakes where you can vote for your favorite grilling recipes using sweet and smoky BBQ chicken sausage. When you vote, they will be entered to win $500 AND a high quality grill.
The recipes look AMAZING and I definitely voted ;]
So, what is your favorite summer dish? Anything that is grilled and served on a paper plate reminds me of summer instantly.
I’m off to run some more wedding errands — I hope you have a great Tuesday!!
Be true to you,
xo Kasey
