What I Ate (The Day of my Competition) Wednesday!

I figured I’d share what I ate on the day of my Competition!

So here is a video of me at 6am; I apologize for being half asleep!

Behind the scenes; the morning of my competition!

Some eats from the day:
Egg whites with my “Clean Sweet Potato Pie” & raisins!


My “clean sweet potato Pie” with tilapia & veggies!

*BANANA’S – of course! one of my fave fruits <3

Beef burger with Brie, caramelized onions,
&  mushrooms on a Lettuce Bun
with side greek salad & PICKLE.

I was totally craving pickles all day; call me crazy, not pregnant! Winking smile

before bed I was crazing healthy goodies; duh.

So I had trail mix with protein powder frosting & my healthy chocolate sauce!

2 TB Unsweetened Dark Cocoa Powder
2TB (may need more) Water

& a whole day of competing does the hair; not so good.
talk about a wonkyyyy bun.

So that’s my day of eats!

I know some people do eat lots of unhealthy things the day of a show
because truthfully for the body builders;
it does help fill out your muscles & get your veins bulging!
But my stomach personally couldn’t handle eating that way.
So I ate clean foods all day and then definitely enjoyed my amazinggg dinner
AND copious amounts of trail mix; all dayyyy longgg!

I admit; I’m addicted to clean foods & the way they nourish my body!
I really do CRAVE them.

The next day for lunch;
I had hard boiled egg whites with roasted veggies &hummus
Apple Cider Vinegar Apple Cinnamon Drink! SO GOOD!

For dinner it was a #POWERBOWL
of chicken, avocado, nooch, asparagus, artichokes, & spinach!


Today I felt well rested & ready to get a good work out in!
I warmed up with 3 sets of bench press;

then 16 rounds of TABATA intervals!

Switched between 20 seconds of work & 10 seconds rest with
Burpees, hand-release push-ups, double unders (jump roping), & mountain climbers!
followed by 3 sets of 25 hanging ab crunches!



Post Work out meal was a #POWERBOWL green Carrot smoothie!
1 cup Frozen Spinach, 1 scoop of Sunwarrior Protein powder,
handful of carrot sticks, cinnamon, 2 TB Flax meal & 1/2 Banana

Gotta love refueling with POWERFOODS! Winking smile

    Love that you didn’t go balls to the walls with junk food, my body is the EXACT same way and doesn’t react well at all – I love my treats clean 😀

    Iv wanted to comment for a while purely to tell you that your muscles are BANGING- seriously you rock!

    All your eats look dreeeamy. I <3 bananas & trail mix and your power bowl dinner is exactly the kinda thing I eat.
    I keep wanting to try one of your powercakes, but iv got to say the number of egg whites put me off a tiny bit:/- does it not taste really eggy?

      thank you so much!! :] and honestly, it’s not EGGY at all!! Whatever you flavor it with, it honestly tastes like! my fave is my pumpkin powercake :] tastes like pumpkin pie in the morning with cinnamon, vanilla, & sweetness from stevia & pumpkin! Top it with coconut oil or any other topping and it’s like a clean pumpkin pie!! ;]

    I’m addicted to clean foods too! People don’t get it when I say I am craving my daily salad #POWERBOWL but um, how could I not, it is literally the highlight of my day!

    So interesting to see what you ate on competition day. Truth be told I never considered that any body builder would eat unhealthfully the day of to get muscles and veins bulging. Wouldn’t a TONNN of water be good for that? I also actually assumed some bodybuilders might NOT eat much at all so they could keep their stomachs looking flat. Not saying that’s healthy, just what I had thought some people may do!

    That burger with brie post-competition sounds SO yummy. Great, rewarding meal! I crave pickles 24/7 too. One day if I get pregnant I will probably eat a jar a day at that rate haha. Just call me Snooki. Imagine how many SHE’S eating now!

  16. Hey Girl! I recently found your blog- love it! I’ve looked into competing for a while now- I always decide to wait to try and gain more muscle, but I might break down and just do it this fall or next spring! Anyways, you look great, was this a bikini or figure show you did?

    If I were to have a splurge meal after a show I would prob go for some Fro-Yo :)

      hi girl, thank you so much for stopping by!! I did bikini this time around! I’ve done figure before but I wanted to try something new. My body type is right in the middle – muscular but “softer” in the abs – so I went with bikini! You should totally do it!!

    And I love your trail mix with protein powder frosting & healthy chocolate sauce. Have you tried Jen’s Zen chocolate sauce. Its vegan and excellente! I got to try some at a recent Expo. Now I have a jar at home for a special occasion. :)
