Power Thought of the day; Have you ever created a fear?

Lately I’ve been doing this thing where I am creating fears that haven’t even happened yet. Sometimes I find myself being afraid of situations that I am clearly making up in my own mind. Yesterday I had one of those moments where I felt that I wasn’t doing enough for moving forward with my business ideas, when in reality, I am moving forward every single day – I just didn’t take the time to reflect on how much I have done to get to the point I’m at now.

Whether it’s your business, a relationship, a goal, or a task – we often are afraid of moving forward only because of our own fears we create! Last night I laid in bed with a busy brain (which usually happens anyway to Entrepreneurs like myself), but I couldn’t help but catch myself being negative about my progress with my business ideas. Then I quickly stopped myself & thought about how much I really have accomplished and how big ideas like the ones I have, don’t just happen over night.

My boy Dozie from BN SHAPE posted this & it definitely hit home with me.

I find myself speaking to myself like an outsider & I say, “Kasey, hold up. You are enough. What you’re doing is enough. Look how far you’ve come.” I think sometimes when we are working on something for ourselves, we only see the negatives because it’s happening to us and we live it everyday. When in reality, people looking at us from the outside are (hopefully) seeing our accomplishments and the things we are bringing to their attention to help them and inspire. Is it ironic that I woke up to this amazing quote by one of my inspirations, Nicole Wilkins?

Um, she obviously was reading my mind. What she says is SO true! I am the one creating these fears which haven’t happened yet. And to be honest, in the past, whenever I initially “fear” something – once I actually push forward and continue on…that fear goes away! Why? Because I am moving forward confidently in the directions of my dreams & to be honest, I have some pretty cool things happening and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Just like good ol’ Babe Ruth would say…

“Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game”

And guess what, if we do happen to think we struck out, he would say…

“Every strike brings me closer to the next home run.”

And if we truly believe that with every strike, we are learning, growing, & getting another chance, Babe would say…

“It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.”

Thanks to my girl candyfit for these positive daily affirmations!

It’s amazing how if we change our way we react to thoughts – it can truly turn things around! Winking smile

It’s ironic (or is it?) that once my thoughts turned positive, some pretty cool things happened! I got a shipment of something I will be sharing SO soon on the blog along with some pretty awesome inspirational messages from some followers. These examples are my daily reminders that I was placed where I am at this point in time for a reason. Some things aren’t just coincidence, they are meant to be.

I hope these quotes will help you like they helped motivate me today.

Do you have a favorite affirmation that you repeat to yourself to help change that way you react to a situation? I’d love to hear it!

  1. They ARE meant to be! The quote “The greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most” has gotten me through 3 half marathons, joining CrossFit, and opening my own business! Believe me, you are on your way to a GREAT thing! 🙂

  2. Thanks so much for sharing my daily affirmations! Honestly, positive thoughts and affirmations have the power to change absolutely everything we experience and do in life!

An absolutely BEAUTIFUL post, my sweetie pie <3

I often stress myself out about things that have not happened yet, either. I can totally relate, but I've been striving to live in the moment more than ever before which has helped me from becoming fearful of what has not yet happened.

Just be proud of what you are doing Kasey. Every one else is able to see how successful you are, YOU just need to give yourself the credit. That's what HFF is about you know girlfaaaaan ??? 😉 RECOGNIZING your OWN achievements 😉 Now when you lay in bed tonight instead of thinking of all of the things you HAVE to do or feel like you HAVE to do, think of the things YOU HAVE DONE and be PROUD 😀

Like today, be proud of yourself for answering my email 🙂 You truly made a difference in my life JUST today <3

  4. Always great posts & info & yes, positive thoughts!!! 🙂 Always learning & always a work in progress – never give up! 🙂

  5. i hope you always can find the positive lady because you have accomplished so much and i really believe there is SO much more in store for you in the future. you can do anything you put your mind to and look at your past successes to find truth in that.

i am always here to support you and be your cheerleader because you are one amazing lady <3

  6. Wow – that really spoke to me. I too have those nights I just can not relax my mind, always thinking of whats next…crossing things off my to-do list…worrying I’m not making the most of days or doing enough. When in reality you’r right we are making progress and I think it’s importantly to slow down sometimes and just be thankful and proud of where we are at. If we don’t then we aren’t even enjoying the accomplishments as they come, it’s ok to let them sink in…even for..dare I say.. A WEEK…before moving on to the next goal, task, business item, project. I can see the entrepreneur in you, you’ve got it girl. Rooting for you always and of course really looking forward for the announcement of what you have coming out. I KNOW it’s going to be great.

    be GOOD to YOURSELF,
    Jess
