Hey there folks!
I am Kelly & I am a vegan Beachbody Coach
with a degree in dietetics.

I love to travel, have a huge heart for the animals and the environment and am a recycling Nazi.
I am recovering from an eating disorder finding that eating vegan and working out
on a consistent basis helps me to squash my dark passenger (Dexter anyone?).

I used to absolutely hate working out but my dad having a heart attack was a
huge driving force in making me get my health on track.

I have a new found passion for working out and I have become a happier person.
Life was meant to be LIVED and that's what I intend to do everyday.

Kitchen time is therapeutic for me, so I am always in there whippin' something new up!

Here is one of Kelly’s favorite ways to enjoy her Shakeology!
Shakeology

Post Workout Vegan Chocolate Shakeology

  • 1 Hefty Serving
  • 1.5 cups almond milk
  • .5 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 Tbsp PB2
  • 1 TB Organic Shredding Coconut
  • 1 Serving Chocolate Vegan Shakeology

 

  1. Add all to blender in the order listed
    (Shakeology added last so it doesn't get stuck to the blenders blades).
  2. Blend for about 40 seconds.
  3. Enjoy!

I drink Shakeology after my workouts because my energy is done for by the time my workout is over.
The blend of whole foods plant based nutrition in it helps provide me with a
zap of energy that doesn't send me crashing later on in the day.

Also, Shakeology provides enough protein and carbs to help fuel my recovery!

    I love Vega shakes with almond milk after a summer workout, but during the colder months I usually keep a vegetarian protein-packed stew or soup on hand for a quick meal. This week it’s edamame soup, yum!

    Lately my favorite post workout meal has been a vanilla pumpkin protein shake! I blend 1/2 cup organic pure pumpkin, a frozen banana, handful of spinach, vanilla Vega Sport Performance Protein, and almond milk! Sprinkle some PB2 on top, and maybe some pepitas or sunflower seeds! It’s amazing!! I’ve never tried Shakeology but it sounds good!!

    I love having smoothies after my workout …usually brown rice or hemp protein powder with almond milk, fruit and added spinach! I am currently doing P90x but can’t afford the recovery shakes…I have always wanted to try the shakeology drinks too! And yours sounds delicious! Thanks for the opportunity :-)

    My favorite post workout snack is Hemp Granola Protein Bars which Hemp Protein Granola Bars
    Ingredients: Rolled Oats, Roasted Walnuts or any nut really, dates, coconutflakes, hemp protein powder, black poppy seeds, black sesame seeds, cinnamon, bananas, sunflower oil, maple syrup, chia seeds, vanilla, water, salt.

    My favorite post workout meal is probably a #powerbowl salad of chopped kale, baby spring mix, chopped rainbow chard, marinated asparagus, grilled mushrooms, roasted garlic, chopped avocado, chopped red onion, sliced in half sweet colorful cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, and sometimes mango. Usually I like this salad with Pumpkin seed cilantro pesto on top of a grilled white fish. The drink would probably be a Citrus Kombucha.

    My favorite post workout shake is probably: Coconut milk, Raspberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Apple, Banana, Chia, hemp, flax, and 1 scoop of Vega Berry Plant Based Protein Powder

    My favorite post workout dessert: Frozen Pomegranate and Cashew Cake: the crust made out of raw various nuts( walnuts, almonds, hazlenuts, sunflower seeds), hemp seeds, dates, and coconut oil. Filling: Virgin conut oil, soaked cashews, agave nectar, zest and juice from a lemon and orange, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, vanilla bean. The topping: seeds from pomegranates and lime.

  25. i have heard so many great things about shakeology and have been wanting to try it! so great to hear a success story!!

    im a sucker for smoothies. you can pack so many nutrients into them!! they are the perfect post work out re-fuel! i love to add greens to mine and of course some fruits and protein! and really can you you go wrong adding a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa in there? never!

    My go-to after a workout is a smoothie: almond milk, scoop of protein (varies), large handful of spinach, cocoa powder, berries. YUM.

    I usually opt for a smoothie since it’s quick and easy. I use Vega protein powder, almond milk, raspberries, banana, greek yogurt, and a splash of flax oil. If I want something hot then I usually go for a Boca veggie burger.

    I haven’t tried Shakeology, but it does sound delish!

    i have been DYING to try chocolate vegan shakeology since I see all your girls slurpin on IG ( my IG name is eatcleanRD). Its a little pricey on my student budget but I am going to have to cave one of these days! :) :)

    I loooooove quick shakes after a good workout for quick recovery! I haven’t tried Shakeology yet, but it sounds like a great #plantPOWERed option for delicious smoothies. Today my post workout meal was chocolate protein pudding oats, but I love to mix it up!! :)

    Almond and apples all the way! Also, almond or peanut butter on ANYTHING! I have never tried Shakeologoy, I want to super bad! If I win, my post workout snack will be huge tasty shakes!!

  47. I used Shakeology for a long time and loved it as a post-workout snack, but I have never tried the vegan kind. I bet that would be amazing!

    Post-workout I love having some sort of protein or nutrition shake with almond milk. Yum!

  49. Lately I’ve been really loving a post-workout protein pudding (1 scoop pea protein powder + almond milk + peanut butter + cinnamon). It hits the spot without sitting too heavy in my stomach. I love a good vegan protein bar too!

    my favorite post-WO meal is a protein powder pancake or waffle. i eat this at least 5 times a week after my tone it up “bootycall”!! i like to mix it up with different plant-based flavorings, like pumpkin or nuts or cocoa powder or apple butter. and since i discovered ener-g, flax eggs, and chia eggs, i have been making them entirely plant-fueled!

    just bake!!

  66. I *love* my plant-based protein powders! I usually have one little serving of just protein powder & nondairy milk immediately after working out – I find that it calms my “afterburn” hunger, and doesn’t upset my stomach like dairy-based proteins. My current favorites are Sun Warrior, Garden of Life Raw Protein, and Perfect fit – but I’m *always* looking for new ones to try!

    post work out is my regular breakfast since i workout first thing in the morning It usually conatins a big bowl of fruit 0f berries, peaches, apples, a apinkle with cinnamon and flax mixed with protein powder. I also have some granola with coconut milk, chia seeds and a dollap of pumpkin seed butter on top. Very satisfying!!
