Today’s PLANT POWER topic is FRUIT!

octoberChallenge

This is another word that people seem to fear.

I am often asked if I eat fruit;
& the answer is, OF COURSE!

Fruits are loaded with vitamins, minerals, clean carbs,
& most are a significant source of FIBER!

Every day after school I eat some type of fruit for a snack.

Speaking of school, just wanted to share a pic from instagram last night;

Most of you know that I’ve been subbing at my old high school for PE!

One of my students commented on my @mizunorunning shoes
& said I had major “swag” !

Also reppin’ the @BN_SHAPE tank and my students loved it
and wanted to know how they could find them!

I told them how great it feels to BE IN SHAPE & live a healthy balanced life!

On the way out of Zumba every day, the door reads
“do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.”

This is something I try to remind myself of daily-

do not let things that we have no control over interfere with something you can control & can succeed in!

It’s up to you to make this choice;
Love the motivational quotes around the school!

Fact is; I’m a sweaty mess every day but I love it and this is #proof!

Be the change you wish you see in the world!

Anywayyyy, back to FRUIT

I prefer to eat my fruit by itself for better absorption into the body!

As heather once told me, fruit is digested quickly,
so if you eat it in combo with protein (slower digesting)
sometimes that can cause digestion issues.

So now I’ve been eating it alone to really let my body do the work!
If I eat fruit first thing in the morning;
I will usually eat my breakfast about an hour or so later!

Whether it’s a beautiful fruit salad waiting for me in the fridge
thanks to the boyfriend
yeah yeah, I’m spoiled…sometimes Winking smile
