Hi ya’ll! I’m in the south now so my “aloha” has changed to “ya’ll” Anyhow, don’t think I forgot about the GymBoss giveaway! I will be announcing the winner on tomorrow’s post!
I’m super excited to share with you my 3rd recap of the Nutrex-Hawaii Nutrition Summit! Here are parts [one] & [two] just incase you are just jumping in!
Speaking of jumping in….a lot of that was happening on day two of our trip. We went on a snorkel cruise & I got to snorkel for the first time!
We took a huge boat out over a coral reef in the Kealakekua Bay (say that 10 times fast). The water was so blue; the clearest I’ve ever seen!
[Insert titanic music here]
On the sail out to the bay, we all hung out at the front of the boat & got to sample some fresh raw juice! Pictured above is Drew & John from FitLife.TV – Drew is known for his Juicing Vegetables! I believe in my hand is something with kale, coconut water, & beets – whatever the combo, it was delish!
Also got to hang with my girl Stephanie who works for Nutrex-Hawaii! Isn’t she adorable? I total Hawaiian babe.
Then our girl Traci (from Nutrex-Hawaii) jumped in for an power pic!
I just love Suzy! She was determined to hit the tree pose while we were sailing – if you see my knee, I am totally cheating & holding us up via the sail. Crazy curly hair, say whaaaaat.
Then it was time to put our snorkel gear on…the proper way…and hit the water!
One of the members of the crew totally wanted to join in the fun.
Traci actually took the camera out on the water (protected by a plastic bag) while swimming on a raft to get some action shots – love her!
Did I ever mention I have hitchhiker thumbs?
Well, you learn something new everyday!
I basically am a fish…a one eyed fish in the picture above. I love to swim & the feeling of being so “free” in the water. I don’t know if you’ve ever been snorkeling, but it’s crazy cool how you can literally just see water and then put your head right under the water & see a whole new world. [insert Aladdin theme song here]
After an awesome few hours of snorkeling & hanging on the boat with the whole team, we started our sail back to the island….Only to be greeted by a huge “pod” of dolphins! I learned that dolphins travel in pods.
The coolest part about this was that 3 of the dolphins literally led our boat for a while.
How beautiful is this moment?
It was really great to spend so much time close to nature, especially while in Hawaii. I really embraced each moment & enjoyed every second.
Once we got back to the hotel, we got cleaned up & headed out to dinner to catch the sunset!
Traci & myself but the star of this picture is truly the sunset.
I could so get used to this.
Our dinners came and they did not disappoint. I got a sesame seared ahi tuna salad with avocado & shaved parmesan. It was so amazing, guys.
After a night of girl talk, wine, appetizers, & enjoying the view around us – we all headed back to get some sleep. With the time difference, I was basically ready for bed by 5pm Hawaiian time (which was about 11pm eastern time since Hawaii is 6 hours behind us) so once the Hawaiian bed time came, I was really really ready to rest up.
Next post will be all about our last day in Hawaii, some road snacks we enjoyed, & some fun experiences we had with some Horses!
Have a good day!
be true to you,
Kasey
Have you ever been snorkeling?
I’d love to hear about it!
