hi all! hope you had a good week!
If you missed Monica’s guest post
on how she ate clean & worked out while on an RV for 3 weeks;
check it out here!

This week I was working a sports camp every day this week
so I was a little busy; but wanted to catch you up a bit!

lately I’ve been workin’ on those leggies & seeing some progress!
loving the squat rack ;
fact: you feel pretty BA when you’re in there, not gonna lie.

& I forgot how much I loved pig-tails;
thanks to one of my little campers this week!

For squats I usually start with a warm-up set
with just the bar for 20 reps.
Then I start with a 10 on each side;
adding 5 lbs to each side for every set until
I’m challenged and unable to complete 12 reps!

It’s a great way to get your heart rate up
& work on those legs & booooooty! Winking smile

I’ve also been loving different alternatives to noodles!

I tried KELP NOODLES for the first time; they were good!

a bit crunchy & not too much flavor;
but once mixed with nutritional yeast,
ACV, stevia, & seasonings – it’s all good!

especially if Starbs is involved.
(unsweet green tea, yum)

Also, I’ve seen these all over INSTAGRAM
but finally found them locally!
Black Bean & Mung Bean noodles!

haven’t tried them yet….thoughts or suggestions?

And my ultimate favorite;

  1. You look AMAZING!!!! Keep it up! 🙂 Not a noodle person but some interesting stuff there. 🙂

  2. Leg day is always my favorite! I love squats! I love all your noodle swaps! My favorite is spaghetti squash but I honestly will try anything!

    Look at you go, girl! I LOVE working my legs. And kelp noodles are the literal shiz. I made raw alfredo with them once!

  4. Lisa says:

    You are looking fierce!
    Kelp noodles are interesting…a little too crunchy for me I think.

  5. Wow, girl, those legs look AWESOME!

    Okay, I LOVE your pigtails. They are adorable and if only I could get my hair to look like that. Come to think of it, YOUR LEGS OMG. They look FANTASTIC. I have a love/hate relationship with the squat rack… 😉 My alternative is usually Shirataki noodles but those can be veryyyy smelly!

  7. Wowza, you got some good leg definition! Do you think working out with the boyfriend has pushed you in a good way? I know I get the competitive edge & try to stack some more weight whenever I’m working out the guys, ha! (confession: I want to me more BA, hah!)

    I love black bean spaghetti… plain, it is disgusting. seriously. slippery little rubber strands. But, add some hemp hearts, nutritional yeast, seasonings, and salsa… you’re golden!

    ps: Are you going to do a post of eating less meat? How it has changed your body or anything? I’d love to hear!

      Hi girl! I have to say that working out with my boyfriend has really pushed me in a great way! It’s been more intense work outs and i’m able to be safe and push myself with his spotting!! Also, I will be doing a VEGGIE CHALLENEGE in september so maybe you’ll join us!! I do feel better now that I’ve cut out some meat, I will def. post on it soon with details of the challenge!! ;]
