hi all! TGIF, right?
Almost to the weekend!
I really wanted to start featuring some amazing people on Friday’s
because I am constantly being inspired by all of YOU & want to share your stories!

Today I want to introduce you to Sarah Stanley,
an endurance athlete, ultra-marathon runner,
health journalist and wellness expert.

She prefers dirt over glitter,
muddy shoes instead of clean,
and kindness vs hate.

She’s been featured in various media outlets such as

SELF, SHAPE, Ladies’ Home Journal, and Washingtonian.

I started following Sarah on Instagram a while ago
& got hooked on her awesome meal combos!

So take it away Sarah! Winking smile

“I love a lot of things but at the top of the list is creating new recipes in the kitchen!

I don’t follow a specific diet, per se, but I do have 7 criteria’s for what I put in my body.

First, no GMO (Genetically Modified Organism), no toxins, “food” dyes

(did you know that Blue No.1 is made in part with petroleum?) or other chemicals.

Second, no dairy (through my research and personal opinion
I believe that cows milk is for baby cows, not humans.)

Third, fresh, organic vegetables & fruit.

Fourth, no grains (most grains are GMO).

Fifth, no eggs (currently intolerant to them. I may be able to eat them in the future).

Sixth, I only drink water, herbal tea or kombucha
(no coffee, “energy” drinks, sports drinks, bottled juice, etc).

Seventh, if I do eat meat, it must be grass-fed, free-range, nitrate/hormone/additive free

(did you know that cows were not created to eat corn?)

The photos below are meals that I created.

All of them are dairy/egg/grain/processed free.

The recipes will be published in an eCookbook due out late November.

In the meantime, I hope they give you inspiration to get in your kitchen

and start cooking and creating meals that nourish your whole body!”

Yum! Check out those #PLANTPOWER EATS!

Thank you Sarah for sharing your personal thoughts & meals with us today!

You can Follow Sarah on Twitter and Instagram for healthy inspiration each day.

As always, I say
#beTRUEtoYOU
& today Sarah shared with us why she is true to herself!

Everyone is different & choses to do different things.

I do what works for my body & you need to be true to YOUR OWN BODY!

Sarah shows that in her post – she is true to herself & what she believes!

We should embrace each other for our differences
& accept that everyone makes different choices
whether it be with life, food, drinks, cars, starbucks drink…you name it!

Some are personal choices or beliefs and some choices are made
from having  food allergies or living a certain lifestyle.

I personally can’t do gluten, but
does that mean that you shouldn’t just because I can’t?

Nope! Winking smile

BE TRUE TO YOU!

Thank you Sarah for posting today!!

xoxo, powercakes

Do you accept the differences of others?
