Hello my friends & happy Monday! Hope you’re having a great start to your week!

Over the weekend I got a chance to do a fun “Power Snacks” demo with our 10 week challengers at the local Rec. Center.

For 10 weeks I am leading a Circuit Class twice a week as part of the program as well as other awesome choices like Yoga & Zumba with some awesome instructors.

I absolutely LOVE this crew and the energy they bring to every class! After yesterday’s circuit, we went over 2 of my favorite recipes —> Chia Jam (one of my first ever recipes on the blog!) & a new recipe for Cookie Dough Protein Balls!

I’ve made variations of the protein balls before, but these came together perfectly and everyone loved them! How can you go wrong with oats, peanut butter, honey, & protein? ;]

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Cups Dry Instant Oats
  • 1 Cup Nut Butter
    • I made a sunflower seed butter option & white chocolate peanut butter
  • 1/2 Cup Honey (more if batter needs to be stickier)
  • 2 Scoops Protein Powder Of Choice
  • 1/2 Cup Dark Cocoa Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds
  • Pinch of Sea Salt or Pink Salt

HOW TO:

  1. Mix everything together in a large bowl.
  2. Use your hands to roll small balls & place on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  3. Put into the fridge to set up at minimum ~20 minutes to a few hours.
  4. Keep refrigerated & enjoy!

At the event, I also got a TON of questions from the challengers as to what protein powder I use, what chia seeds, and other questions regarding food/supplements for digestion & sweeteners. I thought it would be helpful to put them in a blog post, that way it was a good resource for those who asked and all of you!

Here are a few New Year Kickstarters to take a look at:

NOW Amino Power Pre-Workout

Myself and my clients have been loving this new all-natural Amino Pre-Workout from NOW! I gave a few samples to my clients Danny & Kyle to take before our 5pm workouts as they were looking for a little “pick-me-up” after work/before our sessions.

They stated that it gives them just the right amount of energy for the workout & they don’t get too tired towards the end like they used to after a long day.

NOW Organic Better Stevia

I had a question from a Challenger who asked about sweeteners. I stated that I truly think things in moderation are totally ok but it’s best to stick towards natural most of the time and see how your body reacts. I personally use this Organic Liquid Stevia from NOW every day in my coffee and whenever I’m baking. No bitter aftertaste either which is a total plus!

NOW Probiotic-10

I’ve posted about this Probiotic before [here]  during my 17 Days Of Giveaways and have been a fan for a while now. I’ve had years of digestion/stomach issues and I have noticed a big difference in that area by taking probiotics and giving my body some natural positive strains of bacteria for gut health.

Probiotics and digestive enzymes are essential for normal digestive function. Together they play a vital role in the breakdown, delivery and utilization of the nutrients we obtain from our diet.

A few other favorites in the background; Stevia Drink Sticks, Stevia Hot Cocoa Mix, & Essential Oils to diffuse!

I am a proud partner of NOW Foods & all opinions are my own, as always! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it one thousand times — I am a fan of NOW not only for their awesome customer service and business, but I was able to tour their facility last year to see the QUALITY in their production/products.

They truly are passionate about everything being safe for consumers and coming from trusted sources which make me feel so good about using their products.

I hope this post not only gives you a new recipe to try out but also some insight on some of my top products!

Have an awesome start to your week & be true to you,

xo Kasey
