Hey all! Happy Tuesday!
Are you from the Pittsburgh area?
If so, I’d love for you to join us for Amy’s Army Bootcamp on Monday, June 24th!
When: 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 24
$15 Donation to participate
PURE Athletex – Wexford, PA
Amy, the sister of one of my clients, recently lost her husband, Kent, unexpectedly from a heart attack at age 51, leaving behind Amy and their three children: Breanna, 13; Jake, 11; and Jeremy, 6.
A week or so ago I was over at my clients house & we were talking about the recent tragic events that happened to her family. She mentioned how the family was rallying around her sister Amy calling themselves, “Amy’s Army.” This instantly struck a cord with me and Bootcamp Fundraiser popped into my head. I knew I could help, even if it was in a small way, with the families education fund for the 3 children of the late Kent.
One of the fondest memories from the family was that every evening when he came home from work, Kent would say, “How’s the best family in the world?” Every day, he called Breanna “the prettiest girl in the world”; Jake was “his best friend,” and little Jeremy was “his big man.”
I am looking forward to everyone who can make it out to the bootcamp to show them love and support! ♥
It will be a night of 3 stations where we will rotate between body weight movements, outdoor exercises, TRX suspension training – all in a circuit style workout. Similar to what we did during the Stronger Than Sarcoma Bootcamp Fundraiser a few months ago!
We will also have donated beverages, fruit, & a Chinese auction for a chance to win some awesome prizes from some great companies! The donations have been coming in and we are so appreciative for all of the help! My brother, Philip, will also be playing acoustic guitar out on the deck where everyone can hang out who isn’t participating in the workout.
So mark your calendars for the Amy’s Army Boot Camp –
all proceeds will benefit an education fund for Breanna, Jake and Jeremy.
Here is the link to the facebook page invite – feel free to share!
If you’re able to come – send me an e-mail Kasey@Powercakes.net so I can put you on the list!
If you’re interested in donating you can also contact me via e-mail.
I am also planning on posting an Amy’s Army bootcamp workout for those who do not live around here so you can participate & send in pictures of you completing the work out in honor of Kent & his family.
Thank you for all of your support as always
& any positive thoughts for the family are always appreciated.
